April 16, 2021: Congratulations to SpaceX on being selected by NASA to continue development of their commercial human lander as part of the Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships (NextSTEP-2) Program! The human lander will join the Space Launch System, Orion spacecraft, and the Gateway lunar outpost to make up the components of the Artemis program. In addition to making history by putting the first woman on the moon, the human lander will also land the first person of color on the surface of the Moon. This award provides direct funding from NASA for a human landing system, funding that has not been seen since the Apollo program. Through our partnership with NASA, Odyssey is excited to assist humankind return to the Moon!
