April 20, 2020:
Amongst the turmoil of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Odysseyians have continued carrying on their mission of advancing human space flight. As a company, Odyssey has taken several steps to help the community persevere, including providing donation matching to charities, and creating a Folding@Home team to contribute distributed computing resources to the study of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 (to-date, Odyssey’s Folding@Home team has reached the top 1% of contributed work units!). The majority of the workforce has been working fully remote for over a month now, with a small portion of employees continuing to provide mission essential support on-site. While the transition brought a unique set of difficulties, Odyssey successfully made the transition to the “new normal” and is on track and eager to jump into the exciting new opportunities in human spaceflight heading our way.
